Shauna Johannesen is one of the actors of A Million Little Things, portraying the role of Karen.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Not much is known about Johannesen's early life. She was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She has a BA in English and Theatre from Calvin College as well as an MA in English Language and Culture from the Vrije Universiteit.
Johannesen comes from a family of six kids, and has lived in Michigan, Honduras, Amsterdam, and Kenya before settling in Vancouver, Canada.
Career[]
Johannesen's credits include Cult, Supernatural, Motive, Summer of 84, Psych and Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever, among others.
Johannesen wrote the short Bedbugs: A Musical Love Story, which garnered numerous accolades on the festival circuit, including Leo awards for Screenwriting and Best Female Actor. Her directorial debut, Trying, has likewise earned her nominations and awards including the Matrix Award for Outstanding Short Work, and the Women in Film and TV Spotlight Image Award.
In 2020, Johannesen was cast as Karen on A Million Little Things.
