Early life[]

Not much is known about Rosemont's early life. She was born on October 28, 1964 in New York City, New York, USA. She is a graduate of Northwestern University.

Career[]

Rosemont has had guest and recurring roles in various television series, including alongside James Woods and Danielle Panabaker in Shark, as well as in Scandal, Boston Legal, Crossing Jordan, Friends with Money, Back to You and Me, Close to Home, Grey's Anatomy, Friends, Shopgirl, Ghost Whisperer, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Prison Break, Private Practice, Castle, How to Get Away With Murder and Drop Dead Diva.

From 2009 to 2015, Rosemont recurred on the musical comedy-drama Glee as Carole Hudson, the on-screen mother of Finn Hudson, played by Cory Monteith. Later, in 2011, she played Lizzie Sparks in episode 16, season 6 of the TV show Criminal Minds. Rosemont and her husband, Stephen Root, were due to appear on-screen together in the 2011 horror film Red State, but Rosemont was forced to pull out due to a scheduling conflict with Glee. They both appeared in a 2011 episode of Fringe entitled "And Those We've Left Behind". In 2014, she appeared in three episodes of The Fosters.

Rosemont also had minor roles in multiple films like The Avengers, Kung Fu Panda 2, Cook Off!, Much Ado About Nothing and Nostalgia.

In 2018, Rosemont was cast as Shelly on A Million Little Things.[1]

Personal life[]

Rosemont is married to American actor Stephen Root. The marriage is Root's second, and he has a son from his previous marriage.

They currently live in Los Angeles, California, USA.
