Magda Ochoa is one of the actors of A Million Little Things, portraying the role of a Cancer Patient.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Not much is known about Ochoa's early life. In 1988, she completed her first acting diploma at IAE in Mexico City. Shortly after, she started working in some children productions, and signed her first contract as a corporal expression instructor at the department of extension studies at UNAM (Mexico City). At that time, she was an audit student in the Literature Faculty at UNAM in two courses offered by the drama professors Hector Mendoza and Luisa Josefina Hernandez.
In 1991, Ochoa obtained a National broadcasting certification in Mexico City, and worked as a broadcaster and producer of a Brazilian radio show. In 1996, she earned a scholarship from MEQ and moved to Canada to complete a major in Theatre (1996-2000). Her main inspirational sources as a metteuse-en-scène are Stanislavski, Grotowski, Peter Brook, Antonin Artaud, Augusto Boal, and Robert Lepage.

Ochoa's TV credits include Marvel's Helstrom, Cocaine Godmother, Divididas, Get Shorty, Our Home and Bordered, among others.
Ochoa taught drama at IPN in Mexico City, as well as acting techniques, acting verse, and direction at Universidad de Las Américas in Sta. Catarina, Pue. Mexico. In 2006, she was part of the instructor's team of a Forum Theatre workshop project organized by Réseau-Femmes. She also worked two consecutive years as Moniteur de langues (Odyssey Program Canada) at École Anne-Hébert.
In 2021, Ochoa was cast as a Cancer Patient on A Million Little Things.

Ochoa is married to actor and teacher Fernando Borderas since 1994.[1]
