Paxton was a news anchor, reporter/editor for CBC Radio News in Vancouver during the late 1980's, early 90's after graduating from a journalism program as a mature student.
Paxton's TV roles include DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Family Business, The Man in the High Castle, Love You to Death, My Christmas Family Tree and The Birthday Wish, among others.
In 2023, Paxton was cast as a School Nurse on A Million Little Things.
