Early life[]
Not much is known about Oms' early life. He was born in Victoria, Canada to a Scottish mother and Indian father. He is a third generation Canadian.
Career[]
Oms is a recording artist who has won a Latin Grammy, has a Grammy nomination and has two top fifteen Canadian singles and over 20 million streams under his belt. He has been a mainstay on the Canadian music scene as the longtime frontman of Velvet, and as his musical style has evolved over the years. He has incorporated a variety of genres into his songwriting - including pop, reggae, funk, soul and electronic.
Lately, Oms has found national success with the release of his album ADHD. The album's title is a nod to his discovery (during the recording process) that he is affected by Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
Oms's acting credits include Christmas in Tahoe and Surface, among others.
In 2023, Oms was cast as Alex Joseph on A Million Little Things.
