Kyoko Lu, Larry Cox, Shelly DeSai, Marc Epstein, Marek Johnson, O-Lan Jones, Chris Karchmar, Annie LaRussa and Jeremy Lawrence were awarded the 1991 Los Angeles Weekly Award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance for The Wedding, at the Mark Taper Forum Theatre Too in Los Angeles, California. She was also awarded the 1994 Drama Logue Award for Outstanding Performance for The Waiting Room, at the Mark Taper Forum Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

In 2019, Kyoko Lu was cast as Joo Hee Kim on A Million Little Things. For unknown reasons, she was recast with Susan Hanson in Season 3.
