In 1999, the Reverend and his wife were devastated to find their daughter Alex dead, as she was fished from the lake by the police. ("Mothers and Daughters")

By 2019, the Reverend developed a sickness. ("Mothers and Daughters")
One night, the Reverend finds his deceased daughter's friends, Eddie and Lindsay, at the lake, where he angrily tells them to leave. He mentions that his other daughter called him, and told him that Eddie was "harassing" her on the phone. ("Mothers and Daughters")
