Jerry Ferrara is one of the actors of A Million Little Things, portraying the role of Todd Pilzner.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Jerry Ferrara was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Bensonhurst, Ferrara is of Italian descent. He graduated from New Utrecht High School. Ferrara began studying theater in college, where he was inspired by a teacher to pursue a career in acting.
Career[]
After moving to Los Angeles, Ferrara quickly landed his first role on The King of Queens. He was then cast in the independent feature Cross Bronx, which premiered at the 2004 Tribeca Film Festival.
From 2004 to 2011, Ferrara played the main role of Salvatore "Turtle" Assante on Entourage. He also co-wrote two episodes of the series. Ferrara once made an appearance in character as Turtle for a DirecTV commercial. His dialogue was mixed with a clip from an Entourage episode for humorous effect.
In 2015, Ferrara was cast as Joe Proctor on Starz's Power. After recurring in the second season, he has been upped to series regular for the series' third season. His other TV roles include Grounded for Life, Shooter, NYPD Blue, Vietnam in HD and Leap of Faith.
Ferrara reprised his role of Turtle for the film Entourage in 2015. It served as a continuation to the series. His other film credits include Think Like a Man and its sequel Think Like a Man Too, Flight 7500, Lone Survivor, Last Vegas and Sully.
In 2019, Ferrara was cast as Todd Pilzner on A Million Little Things.[1]
Personal life[]
Ferrara married Breanne Racano Ferrara on 30 June 2017. They have one child.
Ferrara is also co-founder of Fat Sal's deli in West Hollywood, California. In 2010, he dropped weight and lost 60 pounds with a new outlook on health and fitness. Ferrara is a diehard New York Yankees, New York Knicks, and New York Giants fan, a topic referenced in several episodes of Entourage.
