Geoffrey Nauffts is a writer of ABC's A Million Little Things.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Not much is known about Nauffts' early life. He was born on February 3, 1961 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. In 1979, he graduated from Western Reserve Academy, a co-ed boarding prep school located in Hudson, Ohio, USA. Later, he attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

Career[]

Nauffts started his career as an actor. In 1986, he appeared as Craig in The Manhattan Project. His other film credits include Mississippi Burning, A Few Good Men, Unfaithful, Infinity, Love or Money or Match. Nauffts also guest starred on multiple TV series like The Commish, Law & Order, Six Feet Under, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order: Criminal Intent or All My Children.

Nauffts also worked on and off Broadway. He directed short plays by Kenneth Lonergan, Frank Pugliese, David Marshall Grant, Theresa Rebeck and Suzan-Lori Parks, as well as the critically acclaimed production of Steven Belber's Tape. He and Anthony Barrile collaborated with Elton John on a score for Showstopper. Nauffts' critically acclaimed play, Next Fall, is the winner of the 2008 Theater Visions Fund Award from the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation. He is the current artistic director of Naked Angels.[1]

Nauffts started his career as a TV writer in 2009, when he worked on ABC's Brothers & Sisters. From 2014 to 2018, he worked as a executive story editor and writer on Nashville. He also wrote episodes of Political Animals, Somewhere Between and ABC's Grand Hotel.

In 2019, Nauffts co-wrote his first episode of A Million Little Things with series creator DJ Nash.[2]

Personal life[]

Nautts is the husband of actor Christopher J. Hanke.
