Early Life[]
Not much is known about Laventhol's early life.
Career[]
Laventhol started in the industry as a Visual Effects Compositor, working on feature film projects including Terminator: Salvation, Pirates of the Caribbean (II & III), Deja Vu and My Bloody Valentine. In 2011, she earned her first producing credit on the indie feature Part Time Fabulous, which went on to win awards at the Berkshire Int’l Film Festival, Monaco Charity Film Festival and Albuquerque Film Festival.[1]
Laventhol eventually became Tawnya Bhattacharya's writing partner. They previously wrote on Famous in Love (Freeform), The Night Shift (NBC), Perception (TNT), The Client List (Lifetime) and Fairly Legal (USA). They are former NBC Writers on the Verge fellows, and were semi-finalists for the ABC Disney Fellowship before getting a job that took them out of the running.[1][2]
Since 2010, Laventhol has been a reader for Writers on the Verge submissions, reading, scoring and writing coverage on several hundred scripts. She is also teaching at Bhattacharya's Script Anatomy.[1]
In 2018, Laventhol wrote an episode of ABC's A Million Little Things.[3]
